Your listing photographs play a huge part in how homebuyers view your home. To attract the most possible homebuyers, plan to stash these tems away before your photo shoot:

    1. Area Rugs. Homebuyers want to see your original flooring! Area rugs and runners may add character to your home but for photos, remove them and show off your floors —especially if they are nice.
    2. Appliances. If you have small appliances on your counters like a blender, breadmaker, or toaster, take them out before your listing photos. This will make the space feel as spacious, organized, and clean as possible.
    3. Messy Bedding. If you don’t make your bed everyday, no one's judging you, but please make an exception for your home's photo shoot! Think of the sleek, crisp bedding you see when you walk into a hotel room. Tuck the corners in tight, make sure your actual mattress and box spring are not showing, and hide pillow case openings and tags.

When in doubt, take a photo of the area yourself and see how it looks in the photo. You may catch things from a photo that you won't with your eyes. For more listing photo "No-No's" check out this recent article from Apartment Therapy.
